Read Across America Day ~ Volunteer Readers Needed

Cat in Hat

Hope-Hill School is looking for 20 volunteer readers for Read Across America Day on March 3, 2014.  UUCA members and friends have participated in this delightful event for many years.  If you’ve not previously volunteered at the school, this is a fun way to become involved.

Minimum Time Commitment: 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM.

 Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Arrive by 8:30 AM and attend the welcome reception. At the reception, you’ll be given a Dr. Seuss book that you’ll read to a group of students.

  • 9:00 AM – The read-a-thon begins!  After the reading, you and your students will participate in a Dr. Seuss activity.

  • 10:00 AM – You’re done!

To volunteer, call Paula S. Morris, Media Specialist at 404-802-7460.

Thank you for your willingness to participate!
